Rameshwaram

Rameshwaram is a sacred island town in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, located at the southeastern tip of the Indian peninsula. It is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites (along with Badrinath, Dwarka, and Puri), and holds immense spiritual significance in Hinduism.

Rameshwaram is also geographically important as it lies very close to Sri Lanka, and is connected to the Indian mainland by the Pamban Bridge.
