Mysore

Mysore (officially Mysuru) is a historic city in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is known for its rich cultural heritage, royal palaces, temples, and vibrant traditions. Once the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore, it still retains a regal charm and architectural grandeur.

Mysore Palace (Amba Vilas Palace): One of the most magnificent palaces in India, it showcases Indo-Saracenic architecture with stunning interiors. It is beautifully illuminated every Sunday evening and during the Dasara festival.

Chamundi Hill & Chamundeshwari Temple: Located on the outskirts, this sacred hill is home to the temple of Goddess Chamundeshwari. A giant Nandi (bull) statue sits halfway up the hill.

Brindavan Gardens: Situated near the Krishnaraja Sagar Dam, these gardens are famous for their musical fountain and lush landscape.

St. Philomena’s Church: One of the tallest churches in Asia, built in Neo-Gothic style.

Jaganmohan Palace & Art Gallery: Showcases exquisite paintings from the Mysore style, especially works by Raja Ravi Varma.
